Dr. Scott Chapin completed his undergraduate studies at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry in 1984. He went on to attend Temple University Medical School, where he was presented with his Doctor of Medicine degree in May 1988. Dr. Chapin completed a Plastic Surgery Research Fellowship at the University of Southern California/Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in June 1991. He also completed the General Surgery Residency Program at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., where he interned from July 1991 to June 1994. Additionally, Dr. Chapin attended the University of Pittsburgh Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency Program in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania from July 1994 to June 1996.
He has attending surgeon priviledges at the Barix Clinic in Langhorne, P.A. which specializes in treating patients with Massive weight loss.
Dr. Chapin has been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, USA Today, and Fox News. He has also appeared on the Dr Phil show.
