Can BBL® & MOXI Benefit Those with Sensitive Skin?
As the mJOULE system can be customized to address the needs of our patients, BBL® HERO treatments can be adjusted for a wide range of skin types, skin tones, and concerns like sensitivity. While some discomfort is not uncommon, BBL® treatments are typically well tolerated by most patients.
MOXI is typically well tolerated by most patients. When partnered with BBL®, MOXI treatments tend to feel a bit uncomfortable. However, we can apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area to ensure comfort. For both procedures, we provide a cooling device.
Most patients, including those with sensitive skin, may experience a warm sensation, like a sunburn, in the treated areas. For a few days following treatment, expect some swelling, dryness, and itching. It’s important to be gentle with your skin during recovery, including moisturizing, avoiding sun exposure, and avoiding scrubbing or picking at the skin.
