Dr. Chapin performs all rhinoplasty procedures in a Bucks County or Montgomery County AAAASF-certified cosmetic surgery facility. The day of your nose job, you’ll arrive approximately an hour before your scheduled surgery to meet with Dr. Chapin and your anesthesia provider.

Open Rhinoplasty—A small incision is made in the columella, the strip of skin separating the nostrils. The external incision is well-concealed and will be virtually invisible when healed.

Closed Rhinoplasty—In this technique, the incisions are made inside the nostrils and are not visible following the procedure.

Rhinoplasty Recovery and Healing

Following your rhinoplasty procedure, you may experience pressure or discomfort for up to 3 to 5 days. You should expect bruising and swelling. While initial swelling will take 2 to 3 weeks to resolve, residual swelling may last up to a year. During your follow-up appointments with Dr. Chapin, he will advise you as to when you may resume all activities.
